In memory giving — honour a life, help save others
When someone we love dies, an in-memory gift lets their kindness live on — turning grief into lasting help for families facing illness and disaster.
What is in-memory giving?
An in-memory donation is a gift to charity made in memory of someone who has died — a meaningful way to honour their life. You can give a one-off gift, set up a lasting tribute fund that family and friends add to over time, or invite mourners to donate in lieu of funeral flowers.
Many people choose a cause that reflects what mattered to their loved one. Funding sight-restoring surgery, cancer treatment or emergency relief in someone's name is a quiet, powerful way to keep their memory alive while changing the life of another family.
You can make a single gift, create a tribute fund that friends and family contribute to over the years, or ask for donations in lieu of funeral flowers. Each is a meaningful way to honour a life.
World Aid Network is a UK Charitable Incorporated Organisation with charity registration in progress. In-memory and tribute giving will be available once donations open — you can register your interest now.

Frequently asked questions
What is an in-memory donation?
An in-memory (or memorial) donation is a gift to charity made in memory of someone who has died. It is a meaningful way to honour a loved one's life, and many people choose a cause that meant something to the person — for example funding the kind of treatment they received or believed in. You can give a one-off gift or set up a lasting tribute fund.
What is a tribute fund?
A tribute fund is a dedicated, lasting way to remember someone, where family and friends can give in their memory over time — on birthdays, anniversaries or other special dates. It keeps a loved one's memory alive while supporting a cause in their name, and donations can be added whenever people wish.
Can I collect donations at a funeral instead of flowers?
Yes. Many families ask for charity donations in lieu of funeral flowers — a growing and meaningful choice. You can nominate a charity and invite mourners to give in memory of your loved one, either in person or online, turning a moment of loss into lasting help for others.
How do I make an in-memory gift to World Aid Network?
World Aid Network is a UK Charitable Incorporated Organisation with charity registration in progress. Once donations open, you will be able to make an in-memory gift, set up a tribute fund, or arrange funeral giving in a loved one's name. You can register your interest now.
Are in-memory donations eligible for Gift Aid?
Gift Aid can usually be added to in-memory donations made by individual UK taxpayers (it cannot be claimed on a shared collection). Gift Aid will apply to eligible gifts to World Aid Network once charity registration is complete, adding 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you.
