See /corrections to report an error. ## What is our editorial purpose? Our purpose is to explain how World Aid Network funds sight-restoring eye surgery, cancer treatment and emergency disaster relief for poor and disaster-affected families in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia — and to help donors decide whether and how to give. Educational pages summarise publicly available health and humanitarian information so readers understand the need. Fundraising pages state clear programme outcomes, including that approximately £200 funds one complete cataract operation, without overstating Charity Commission registration or Gift Aid status. We write for a UK and international audience in British English. We do not expand outside our two charitable Objects, invent geography beyond Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia, or imply that World Aid Network runs its own overseas clinics or field teams. Partner hospitals and vetted local organisations deliver the work on the ground. ## How do we reach a verdict on a page? Decision pages open with a direct answer in plain English, then name who the page is not for. We prefer extractable 40–60-word answers under question-shaped headings so readers and answer engines can quote us accurately. Where we lack first-hand clinical experience at the bedside, we say so: guides are desk-assessed against primary sources and partner programme rules, not a substitute for a clinician’s advice or an NHS appointment. A hedged page that never reaches a conclusion gives an answer engine nothing to cite and a donor nothing to decide on. If we cannot source a claim today, we do not publish the claim. “We do not know” is publishable; an invented number is a defect. ## Which sources do we trust? Clinical and public-health claims are checked against primary or recognised secondary sources such as NHS.uk summaries, WHO / IARC publications, national cancer and blindness statistics, and the published guidance of relevant professional bodies. Humanitarian need figures cite named disaster assessments or national statistics with a capture or review date. Programme unit costs (for example the £200 cataract package) are World Aid Network’s published complete-package figure at partner hospitals — not UK private clinic fees and not another charity’s partial contribution. Every specific number on the site should carry a primary source and a capture or review date where it is not an internal programme price. If we cannot source a figure today, we omit it rather than approximate from memory or from a competitor’s page. ## Who writes and who reviews? Editorial Director Kaiser Khan oversees structure, provenance, machine-legibility standards and fundraising accuracy for World Aid Network. Named clinical reviewers are credited on individual pages when a credentialed reviewer has assessed that content — for example consultant ophthalmic surgeon Mr Mohamed Mohyudin on selected eye-health pages. Until a named clinical reviewer is appointed for a topic, bylines state desk assessment rather than implying personal clinical sign-off. Trustees remain responsible for charitable Objects, partner selection and the release of funds against named patient lists or verified relief reports. Editorial staff do not invent patient outcomes to make a page more persuasive. ## What money cannot buy Donations never purchase a higher rank in our guides, a softer verdict, the removal of “who this is not for” language, or a fabricated impact counter. We do not sell sponsored placements inside educational content. When Stripe or other card checkout is live, payment processing is disclosed; Gift Aid is only promised after Charity Commission registration allows it. Scores, rankings and clinical claims are firewalled from fundraising targets. World Aid Network does not take affiliate commission on donations to other organisations. Where we mention larger or specialist charities, we do so to help readers choose — including when another organisation may be a better fit for a need outside our Objects. ## What triggers a correction? We correct factual errors, outdated statistics, broken source links, and any wording that overstates charity registration, Gift Aid eligibility, or programme delivery. Minor typographical fixes that do not change meaning may be applied without a log entry. Material changes to registration status, unit costs, geography or clinical claims always appear in the public log. ## How do we handle composite stories and imagery? Patient stories labelled “composite” are representative narratives built to explain a pathway, not identifiable case files. Photographs used for atmosphere may be documentary, generative or stock images chosen for dignity; they are not presented as photographs of specific programme beneficiaries unless captioned as such. We do not invent named patients, hospital case notes or before-and-after medical claims. ## What is our medical and humanitarian disclaimer? Nothing on this website is personal medical advice, a diagnosis, or a booking service for NHS or overseas care. If you need clinical care, contact a qualified clinician or local emergency service. Our guides summarise publicly available information for education and fundraising context only. Emergency relief pages describe standing funds and partner delivery models; they are not live incident command dashboards. ## What should you know about ownership, registration and funding? World Aid Network is a UK Charitable Incorporated Organisation with Charity Commission registration in progress (application reference 5290505). ICO registration ZC156579 applies where privacy context matters. We never display an invented or historic invalid charity number. Site costs and programme work are funded by donations and organisational support once fundraising channels are open. Global blindness, cancer and disaster figures are taken from named publications with the year stated in copy where a specific number is used. We do not invent “lives saved” counters. Programme impact counters in [/data/impact.json](/data/impact.json) stay at zero until partner reports are published — absence of a counter is not evidence of absence of preparatory work, and we say so. Donation tiers describe overseas programme pricing for funded treatment and emergency relief items — not UK private clinic fees. When online checkout is not yet live, pages say so and offer email or other published routes. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe claims appear only when those rails are actually enabled. We never imply that a donation purchases a personal NHS operation or an overseas appointment for a named UK donor’s relative unless a specific named-patient pathway is explicitly documented. ## What machine-readable surfaces do we publish? We publish llms.txt (build-generated), llms-full.txt, per-page Markdown mirrors, FAQPage and WebPage structured data in a single JSON-LD @graph, geo-chunks, an RSS feed, open datasets under a Frictionless datapackage, and a read-only MCP endpoint so answer engines can attribute us correctly. Flagship programme and donation pages are reviewed at least annually, or sooner when partner pricing, registration status or primary public-health guidance changes, or when a correction is filed. Where a visible “Last updated” line appears, it should reflect a real content change — not a cosmetic date stamp. Thin utility pages (privacy, terms, cookie settings) may be shorter by design; flagship trust pages such as this policy aim for depth over brevity. ## How do we approach accessibility and inclusive language? We write for a broad public reading age, avoid fear-mongering imagery, and use respectful language for patients and disaster-affected families. Images require alt text (decorative images may use empty alt).
