World Aid Network funds childhood and paediatric cancer treatment — chemotherapy, surgery and supportive care — for poor families in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia who cannot afford private oncology. Licensed local clinicians deliver care at partner hospitals. Continuity funding means children are not forced to stop mid-course. Every year, thousands of children in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia are diagnosed with cancers that are curable with funded treatment — leukaemia, brain tumours, Wilms tumour, neuroblastoma and more. The barrier is not medicine. It is cost. World Aid Network's Cancer Emergency Appeal maintains continuity funding for children already in treatment who risk stopping mid-course because the money has run out. Mid-protocol abandonment is clinically catastrophic: residual cancer cells develop drug resistance, and relapse carries a far worse prognosis than the original diagnosis. All disbursements go directly to partner hospitals against named patient lists approved by our trustees. We operate a strict no-cash policy and publish outcome reports for every funded patient. Why is childhood cancer survival so much lower in these countries? In high-income countries, health systems fund full chemotherapy courses — survival exceeds 80% for many childhood cancers. In our Object countries, families pay out of pocket. Stopping treatment mid-course due to cost turns curable cancers into death sentences. How much does it cost to fund childhood cancer treatment? £50 funds one chemotherapy session. £250 covers a week of essential medications. £500 contributes toward surgical access. £1,000 may fund a significant portion of a full treatment course at partner hospitals. Who delivers the treatment? All care is delivered by locally licensed paediatric oncologists and haematologists at accredited partner hospitals.
