Open an appeal on this page and give by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. That is the useful thing to do. Do not send clothes, tins or bottled water from Britain unless a partner has asked in writing. Local partners buy food, water, hygiene kits and shelter materials nearby.

Gifts become emergency food, clean water, hygiene kits and shelter — not reconstruction.

No. First Aid on this site is a free written skills guide at /first-aid, not a fundraising appeal. The British Red Cross teaches first aid in the UK. Disaster gifts on this page are food, water, hygiene kits and shelter.

Yes, in purpose. The Humanitarian Appeal, the Crisis Appeal and Disasters Emergency Relief all give to the same standing fund for emergency food, clean water, hygiene kits and shelter, through the same local partners, so you can give to any of them. If you are unsure, choose Disasters Emergency Relief. The Hunger Crisis Appeal funds food only.

Yes. World Aid Network’s Pakistan Floods Appeal is a standing appeal. Donate here if you want local partners to deliver emergency food, clean water, hygiene kits and shelter in Pakistan. We do not rebuild homes, send cash to individuals, or run medical clinics from disaster gifts.

A standing appeal allows donors to support preparedness and response. Distribution depends on assessed needs, available funding, partner capacity and access. You do not have to wait for a new campaign. Monthly gifts keep kits ready between headlines.

On disaster appeals: emergency food, safe drinking water, hygiene kits and temporary shelter, including shelter kits and winter warmth where families are still displaced. On the Cancer Emergency Appeal: imaging, surgery or chemotherapy for any cancer type. On Gift of Sight: contributions towards cataract surgery and eye care; £200 is our planning estimate for one cataract operation.

Trustees release funds to local partners and partner hospitals in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Disaster supplies are bought nearby. Treatment bills are paid to registered hospitals. We never send cash to individuals. Gift Aid is not currently available; future claims require HMRC recognition and eligibility checks.

No. Emergency relief Objects are food, clean water and temporary shelter. Hygiene kits sit with water because dirty water spreads disease. Cancer treatment and eye surgery are separate appeals. Reconstruction, livelihoods, cash grants and mobile health clinics are outside these disaster appeals.

Yes. A monthly donation keeps earthquake, flood and treatment funds ready before the next headline. You can also give once on any appeal page.

Gift Aid is not currently available. World Aid Network has applied to register as a CIO (application 5290505); Gift Aid claims would also need HMRC recognition and an eligible declaration from each donor.
