Accountability & results

Follow the funding.
Understand the difference.

Donations received, payments to partners and care delivered answer different questions. Here is how to read our programme reports and what is currently available.

What impact has been verified?

Verified programme totals and delivery reports are not yet published here. An unavailable total does not mean zero activity. We separate money received, payments to partners and completed care or relief, and publish figures only with an approved reporting period and supporting evidence.

The public reporting-status data uses null for unavailable totals. It is not an audited statement of outcomes.

How does a donation become delivered aid?

  1. 01

    Money received

Confirmed, settled donations for the stated reporting period. Net receipts deduct refunds, chargebacks and payment processing fees. A pledge or an unfinished checkout is not money received.

  2. 02

    Partner paid

Payments supported by transfer records and an identified delivery partner. Transferring funds does not itself show that an operation or a relief distribution has happened.

  3. 03

    Delivery reported

Care or relief supported by reviewed partner records. Reports explain the period, activity counted and limitations, including incomplete follow-up or possible repeat recipients.

Planning estimates help explain an appeal. They are never a substitute for counted delivery: £200 donated does not automatically become “one operation completed” in our reporting.

Where can you find programme updates?

The three programmes cover Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Named partners, approved financial reports and verified delivery updates will appear in the relevant appeal when available for publication.

What your support is for

Support cataract surgery and other sight-preserving care for patients who cannot afford treatment.

Programme
Eye surgery
Countries covered
Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia
Public reporting

Contributions towards eye assessment, clinically recommended treatment and follow-up through local clinical partners. Treatment and eligibility depend on clinical assessment and available funding.

Planning estimate. Around £200 is the site's planning estimate for a cataract operation. Actual hospital quotes and patient needs vary. This is not a published audited cost or a guarantee that a particular gift funds a complete operation.

Contributions towards diagnosis and treatment, such as imaging, surgery or medicines, within the cancer programme. Costs depend on the diagnosis, prescribed treatment and hospital quote; a donation amount is not a promise of a particular treatment or outcome.

What should an impact report tell you?

Eye surgery

Country and hospital, operations completed, period covered, follow-up available and how clinical outcomes were assessed. Procedures and unique patients should be counted separately.

Cancer treatment

Treatments funded and delivered, the period covered and whether a course was completed or remains ongoing. Funding a treatment is not evidence of recovery or survival.

Emergency relief

Where and when distributions took place, what was delivered, how households were counted and how repeat recipients were handled. Reported reach should not be presented as lives saved.

What else should you know about our impact?

What impact has World Aid Network reported?

Verified programme totals and delivery reports are not yet published here. An unavailable total does not mean zero activity. We separate money received, payments to partners and completed care or relief, and publish figures only with an approved reporting period and supporting evidence.

Does a donation total show how many people have been helped?

No. A donation is a financial receipt; a transfer is a payment to a delivery partner. Completed operations, treatment and relief distributions require separate partner evidence. We do not convert donations into claimed patient outcomes using an estimated unit cost.

Will patient names or donor details be public?

Public reporting should use anonymised, aggregate information. Patient records and donor contact details are not public evidence. A photograph or personal story requires specific permission to publish before it can appear in an appeal update.
