A charity virtual gift is a donation you mark in someone’s name. The person you honour receives a digital card. The gift itself funds cataract surgery, cancer treatment, or emergency food, water and shelter in Pakistan, Indonesia or Malaysia — not a parcel posted from Britain.
People search for charity gift cards, ethical presents and something better than another box of chocolates. This page is that menu. You choose an amount and a cause, donate by card, then tell us who the gift is for.
World Aid Network does not run a named-patient gift shop. The person overseas is not introduced to you. Privacy sits with the hospital and the family. What you can give is the bill a partner cannot meet, dedicated at home in a name you choose.

How do I give a charity virtual gift?
Donate on this page. Choose eye surgery, cancer treatment or emergency relief. Then email [email protected] with the recipient’s name, the occasion, and the date you need the card. We send a digital gift card you can forward or print.
There is no separate checkout for cards. The donation is the gift. The email is only so we can word the dedication.
Say if the card is for a birthday, Christmas, a thank-you, or an in-memory note. If someone has died and you want a funeral collection or a lasting tribute fund, use the in-memory giving page — that is a different job.

How much does a charity virtual gift cost?
From £25 for a Medical Kit to about £200 for one complete cataract operation. You can give any amount. Amounts are partner-quoted typical costs, not a promise of a named patient on a given day. We do not invent caseloads.
A smaller gift still helps. Trustees apply it to the cause you pick. A larger gift can fund two operations or a workplace collection.
Gift Aid starts when Charity Commission registration is granted (application 5290505). You can donate now. We will contact UK taxpayers when that happens.
Will the person I honour receive a card?
Yes — a digital gift card, after you donate and email the name. We do not post a physical catalogue, a goat, or a packed box. You forward or print the card. The patient overseas does not write back.
Write to [email protected] with the spelling of the name, the occasion, and when you need the file. Give us a few working days where you can.

Do you send a physical gift from the UK?
No. World Aid Network does not pack or post presents from Britain. Local partners buy supplies nearby or a partner hospital delivers the operation. A virtual gift is money that becomes care, plus a digital card at home.
Freight, customs and unused toiletries waste kindness. The Digital Shoebox Appeal exists because a cardboard Christmas shoebox is often the wrong tool. Please do not post a box to our London address and expect it to travel overseas.

How is this different from the Christmas Appeal?
The Christmas Appeal is the seasonal donate page — often a gift of sight at about £200. This page is the year-round menu for dedicating any of our gifts in someone’s name. Christmas checkout stays on the Christmas Appeal. You can still email a name after you give there.
World Aid Network is secular. Christmas is a giving season, not a religious test. Donors of every faith and none are welcome.
How is this different from in-memory giving?
In-memory giving is for someone who has died — a one-off memorial gift, a funeral collection, or a tribute fund. A charity virtual gift is usually a living present: birthday, thank-you, Christmas. You can still dedicate an in-memory note from this page, but the in-memory giving page is the guide for funerals and tributes.
Please donate either way. The hospital bill does not change because the card is sad or joyful.
Can I give a charity virtual gift from the US, Canada or another country?
Yes. Card gifts are accepted from any country. Use this page for pounds, or the give-from-the-USA page for US dollars. World Aid Network is a UK CIO, not a US 501(c)(3) and not a registered Canadian charity, so gifts are generally not tax-deductible there. Gift Aid is UK-only.
The digital card still works. Email the name as usual. Programme delivery stays in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia.
