Cancer charities do different jobs. Some fund laboratories. Some run UK helplines, hospices and advice. Some campaign for NHS services. Some pay for treatment that a family cannot afford overseas. Those are not the same gift. A ranked list that pretends they are would be marketing, not an answer.

World Aid Network funds cancer treatment — imaging, surgery and chemotherapy — for poor patients in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Locally licensed oncologists treat in registered hospitals. We fund the bill. We do not run hospitals, do not employ oncologists, and do not fly teams from Britain.

The gift is treatment access, not a research grant and not NHS care. The Cancer Emergency Appeal funds all types of cancer. Typical partner costs: £50 for one chemotherapy session; £100 for a diagnostic scan; £500 for surgery where partners quote that cost. Those are typical costs, not a named-patient menu.

In the UK, the NHS treats cancer without a bill at the door. In the communities we serve, a scan, a biopsy or a cycle of chemotherapy can be the reason a patient goes home untreated. That is the gap this page is for.

WHO estimates that most cancer deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, where families often pay out of pocket. We do not invent a caseload from that fact. We fund partner hospitals when they have a verified patient who cannot pay.
