The day began in 2012 as a counterweight to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. People give money, time or skills. Schools, workplaces and charities use it. You do not have to take part in a branded campaign to give well.

When is Giving Tuesday 2026?
Tuesday 1 December 2026. That is the Tuesday after US Thanksgiving (Thursday 26 November 2026). Black Friday is 27 November. Cyber Monday is 30 November. Please donate on this page — you do not have to wait until the day itself.
Older copy on this site said 2 December 2026. That was wrong. Thanksgiving 2026 is 26 November, so Giving Tuesday is 1 December. We have corrected it.
Should I wait until 1 December to give? is answered below: no. Partners do not pause lists until a branded Tuesday. A gift this week funds the same operation or the same kit.
How do I donate on Giving Tuesday in the UK?
Please donate on this page by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. From the United Kingdom that is the simplest way to fund an operation, a chemotherapy session or emergency kits overseas. You are not paying for NHS lists.

What will a Giving Tuesday donation provide?
Your donation pays partner hospitals and local relief partners. About £200 can cover one complete cataract operation. £50 is a typical partner-quoted chemotherapy session. Disaster gifts buy food, water and shelter. Figures are typical partner costs, not a menu you pick for a named patient.
Please choose an amount and donate. Cancer gifts fund all types of cancer — not research and not NHS care. Use the Cancer Emergency Appeal if cancer is the whole of the ask. Eye surgery gifts typically fund cataract operations — Gift of Sight. Emergency gifts do not rebuild houses. Partners typically start within 48 to 72 hours. Not yet. Gift Aid starts when Charity Commission registration is granted (application 5290505). You can donate now. We will contact UK taxpayers when that happens. A £200 gift is £200 today — we do not add a fictional 25 pence in the pound.
Older Giving Tuesday copy treated Gift Aid as live and used the wrong typical cataract cost. The typical partner cost for one complete cataract operation on this site is about £200. Please give that amount if you want to fund one operation, or give what you can.

Can my employer match a Giving Tuesday donation?
Many UK employers match staff gifts. Ask HR or payroll whether your scheme includes a gift to World Aid Network. We do not run a matching scheme of our own and we will not invent a multiplier. Please donate here first, then claim the match if your employer offers one.
A match is the employer’s rule, not ours. Some schemes need a registered charity number. We do not have one yet (application 5290505). If the scheme cannot pay us until that number is issued, give here anyway — or give through the payroll giving page if that is how your workplace pays.
Corporate grants and workplace campaigns are explained on corporate partnerships. Honesty: we will not say your employer “will double” a World Aid Network gift.

No. The movement is run in this country from the official Giving Tuesday UK site. World Aid Network is not listed as a partner. Please donate here if our mandate matches. Please give through that site’s own directory if you wanted their campaign, not ours.
We will not borrow their logo or their partner badge. What is Giving Tuesday? remains their story. What a World Aid Network gift buys remains ours: partner-hospital bills and local relief kits in three countries.

Gifts pay partner hospitals and vetted local relief partners in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia against trustee-approved lists. We do not send cash to individuals. Charity Commission registration is in progress. Please donate so that chain can start.
