What will my donation to charity provide?
About £200 is our planning estimate for one cataract operation; actual costs vary by patient and hospital. Other suggested amounts are contributions to the programme you choose, not fixed prices. Disaster gifts buy food, clean water, hygiene kits and shelter.
Choose Eye Surgery if you want a sight-restoring operation. Choose Cancer Treatment for all types of cancer at partner hospitals — not laboratory research and not UK NHS care. Choose Emergency Relief for food, water and shelter after a flood, earthquake or tsunami.
Where Most Needed lets trustees send an unrestricted gift to the most urgent programme that week.

Which causes can I donate to?
You can donate to charity for eye surgery, cancer treatment, emergency relief, or where most needed. Cancer gifts fund all types of cancer. Disaster gifts are food, water, hygiene kits and shelter only. This page is the general checkout.
If you want a named campaign, open the Humanitarian Appeal, Crisis Appeal, Disasters Emergency Relief, the Gift of Sight Appeal, the Cancer Emergency Appeal, the Indonesia Emergency Appeal or the Pakistan Floods Appeal. Those pages mark the gift. This page is the general donate-to-charity checkout.
We do not operate hospitals or fly our own clinical teams. Licensed partner clinicians deliver care. Local relief partners buy food, water and shelter nearby. We do not send cash to individuals.
Eye surgery
Sight-restoring cataract operations for patients who cannot pay. Around £200 is a planning estimate for cataract surgery; actual quotes, services and clinical needs vary.
Cancer treatment
Imaging, surgery and chemotherapy for all types of cancer. Not research. Not NHS care.
Emergency relief
Food, clean water, hygiene kits and shelter after floods, earthquakes and tsunamis. Disaster gifts do not rebuild homes or fund medical clinics.
Can I donate to charity every month?
Yes. Choose monthly on the form. A regular gift helps trustees plan surgical lists and keep emergency kits ready between headlines. You can cancel future payments at any time. One-off gifts are welcome too.
Monthly giving is explained in more depth on the monthly giving page. Start here if you already know you want to give. Gift Aid is not currently available on monthly or one-off gifts to World Aid Network.
Where does my charity donation go?
Gifts pay partner hospitals and vetted local relief partners against trustee-approved lists. We do not send cash to individuals. We do not claim a 100% donation policy. Restricted gifts stay with the cause you pick. Read how we work if you want the grant path in full.
Restricted gifts stay with the cause you pick: eye surgery, cancer treatment or emergency relief. Unrestricted gifts (Where Most Needed) can move to the most urgent programme. Disaster money does not rebuild houses, fund livelihoods, or pay for medical clinics.
